Free Movement

Friday, June 8th, 2007

I have just found a new blog about Free Movement of Persons which I would like to recommend. The author of this blog is a UK-based immigration lawyer.

This blog is aimed at both lawyers and those with a more personal interest in immigration and asylum. It includes a mix of news, immigration law gossip, commentary and signposts to events, resources, other websites or developments.

Even if the author does not intend to offer immigration advice through this website for a variety of reasons, however he intends to signpost you to a number of other places that might help you acquire advice about your own or someone else’s immigration status or prospects.

If you are interested, go check it at:

Citizens of Europe

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

An interesting blog about a very new and important topic: EU CITIZENSHIP.

The aim of this blog is to start a public discussion regarding the need for the definition of a European Citizenship according to the spirit of Maastricht.

This new citizenship is intended to allow citizens of European Union who have moved to another EU country to benefit from all political rights in their new country of residence without having to change their nationality - thus extending the limits of the traditional domain of a national citizenship.

A lot of material has been published on this matter. This blog will gather all relevant info and opinions for the affirmation of these new citizens, Citizens of Europe.
